WHAT IS A REVERSE EXPO?

As the name suggests, the OR Manager Conference Reverse Expo flips the traditional expo format – the vendors come to you for one-on-one meetings! We understand your time at the conference is valuable, and you need to make the most of your time on the Periop Networking & Innovation Hub floor finding the suppliers that fulfill your needs.

If you seek products and services for your facility, the Reverse Expo is the perfect solution to maximize your time on the Exhibit Hall floor by allowing you to swiftly determine whether the vendor is the right fit. Since these meetings occur before the Periop Networking & Innovation Hub opens for all attendees, it provides you a dedicated time to ask questions that might otherwise be more difficult while others travel across the show floor.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

As these meetings are based on mutual preferences, we will ask you to create a profile and answer a few questions regarding your purchasing needs approximately 6 weeks prior to the conference. Once your profile is set up, start browsing through the supplier participants and think about who you would like to meet. You will then have time to make your “Must Meet,” “Meet,” and “No Thanks, I would not like to meet” preferences. Intelligent matchmaking software will match you with 10-12 suppliers based on your profile selections and both your preferences and those of the suppliers.

Once matchmaking is complete, you will receive a schedule of your meetings. The meetings will take place in the afternoon of Sunday, October 27, unopposed to any other conference activities.

The 8-minute “speed dating for business” style meetings are face-to-face, and save you hours of time that would normally be spend in Zoom meetings or demonstrations during the work week. Following on Monday and Tuesday, you can visit with the exhibitors for further discussion and demonstration during Periop Networking & Innovation Hub hours.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?

Buyers must be qualified to participate in the Reverse Expo. To qualify, a buyer must play a role in the purchasing process (e.g. Recommend new products, member of purchasing committee, final decision maker). PERSONAL, 1-ON-1 TIME

These meetings bring you together with potential suppliers in a relaxed environment outside the show floor. You will have 100% of the suppliers’ attention for these 8 minutes, allowing you personalized time to share the challenges you are encountering and learning more about their products and services without competing for time with other attendees.

The Reverse Expo works because it is mutually beneficial, and saves hours of time that would normally be spent communicating via emails or virtual meetings!

We have moved the Reverse Expo to Sunday afternoon to ensure you won’t miss a second of the conference session content. This is a no-cost way to bring back the information you need to gain capital funding approval and make effective purchasing decisions!

Following the Reverse Expo, we will be hosting a reception with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for the buyer and supplier participants! Take this time to relax and keep chatting before the full conference kicks of on Monday morning.
