Our plans to hold a safe and productive in-person meeting in Chicago have NOT changed. The meeting is on, and it will be safe. It’s a challenging time to plan meetings, as you’d imagine, so we’ve been surveying the community regularly and two points have stood out in the feedback:
~ Perioperative leaders understand the value of being together and want to return to in-person events.
~ Our community are largely vaccinated and will adhere to local health and safety policies (i.e. wearing masks indoors, etc.)
I’m excited for us to meet safely together, and I know I’m not the only one… Last week was our best attendee week to date, with dozens of people from across the country registering to attend. While I don’t anticipate the 2021 event to break attendance records, our registration pacing has been remarkably steady.
People are excited to reconnect and refuel themselves with the energy of shared experiences only our community can foster; there is so much to discuss since we were last together. I’m proud of the conference that our program committee has put together- it addresses all the transformative changes our industry has seen, and attending will put yourself and your facility in a position to thrive.
Stay well and we look forward to seeing you in Chicago!
